  • No medals as yet, with Braeden Jason finishing fifth in the men’s 100m freestyle S12 and Ben Popham coming eight in the 400m Freestyle S8.

Paige Leonhardt and Ruby Storm are up in the women’s SM14 200m individual medley now.

    We’re off with the swimming.

First up is Ben Popham is the men’s 400m freestyle S8.

Australian cyclist Carol Cooke has won silver in the women’s T1-2 time trial!

Cooke rode the race in a time of 36.38.46, just over 30 seconds behind Germany’s Jana Majunke in gold.

Germany also claimed the bronze in the race with Angelika Dreock Kaeser claiming that third podium spot.

It’s an incredible achievement for Cooke at 60 years of age, who was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in 1998 - just before her 37th birthday.

Sadly, Aussie duo Stuart Jones and David Nicholas have missed out on medals in their time trial events.

Jones came fifth in the men’s T1-2 time trial with a time of 31:12.94, while David Nicholas was unable to get onto the podium for the men’s C3 time trial with a time of 36:56.79.

There’s one medal chance left for Australia today in the road race, and that’s Carol Cooke in the women’s T1-2 time trial.

    She is racing now.

He will take on the Czech Republic’s Adam Peska at 6.15pm tonight AEST in the semis.

Alistair Donohoe - also known as the “flying mullet” due to his fabulous haircut - has won bronze in the men’s C5 time trial.

He finished the gruelling 32km ride in 43:36.80.

Daniel Abraham from the Netherlands came in first, while Ukraine’s Yegor Dementyev came in the silver spot.

It comes after Donohoe claimed silver in the C5 Individual Pursuit earlier in the games.

Some big medal chances for Australia on the bike.

Here are the ones you won’t want to miss out on:

Hello all. Sarah Keoghan here, taking over for Scott Spits to take you through the afternoon and the evening.

Some good news straight off the bat, Daniel Michel has effortlessly won his BC3 quarter-final 8-0 to cement himself a spot in the boccia semi-finals.

He claimed victory over Korea’s Hansoo Kim 8-0.

He will take on the Czech Republic’s Adam Peska at 6.15pm AEST.

On a successful day for Team Australia so far, runner James Turner was left immensely satisfied after his gold medal-winning effort in the men’s 400m (T36). Turner finished well ahead, but only after pushing himself to the limit towards the end of his race. He clocked 52.80 seconds.

“I’m quite emotional right now,” said Turner after his medal presentation.

“A lot of work has been done by a lot of people to get me here.”

“The last 50 {metres) of a 400 is always hard â€" the heat [in Tokyo] and the effort.

“My muscles started tightening up, I started losing control of them.

“But I was able to hold it together with my training.”

He explained his can-do attitude with the following: “I love pushing the limits of what I can do.

“Everything I do is to push the boundaries of what I can do and to show that we can be more than what we are now.”
