Five stabbed after rival biker gangs fight in BC RCMP
CRANBROOK, B.C. â" Mounties in British Columbia say they had to break up a fight between rival outlaw motorcycle gangs from Alberta that sent several people to hospital.
Article contentRCMP say they were called to the fight at a gas station in Cranbrook early Friday evening, and they say front-line officers flooded the area and were successful in separating the two groups.
One witness, who works near the Chevron gas station and asked not to be named for fear of reprisal, told the Calgary Herald the brawl happened in the parking lot.
âI donât know what it was about or what it was over,â said the man. âThe cops came afterwards but it looked like 30 Rebels and probably 15 (Hells Angels).â
Police say that shortly after, they were called to the local hospital where five people showed up with apparent stab wounds.
Police say the hospital was temporarily placed under lockdown while the injured were being treated for non-life-threatening injuries, and they say additional officers in the hospitalâs parking lot were needed to prevent further violence between the rival gangs.

All of the injured were released after receiving treatment, and RCMP say they escorted one group from the city.
No arrests have been made, but police say theyâre still investigating.
Police add that thereâs no indication the fight is related to an ongoing conflict in B.C.âs Lower Mainland.
