A 59-year-old Mississauga retiree just watched the zeroes grow after a $100,000 Lotto Max win on Oct. 12.

Gopalanathan Sathasivam, who spent $1 initially, matched the last six of seven Encore numbers in exact order to score the major lottery win.

He also won $20 on a selection of his Lotto Max play.

“It was an unforgettable day!” said Sathasivam to OLG.

“When I showed my wife, she was so happy â€" then we told the kids together.”+

We apologize, but this video has failed to load.

His plans include paying off some bills and saving for his children’s education.

“We’ll also take a family vacation when it’s safe to travel again,” he told OLG.

His winning ticket was bought at the CNIB Kiosk in Walmart on Matheson Blvd. in Mississauga.
